WHO WE ARE.
HeckRaiser Productions is a photography studio operated by Jared DeGroff out of Upstate NY, USA. When this policy says “we” or “us,” that's who we mean. When it says “you,” it means a person interacting with this site or hiring us for a shoot.
WHAT WE COLLECT.
From the inquiry form. Name, email, phone (if you give it), the project details you write, and the choices you make in the form (vertical, package, timing, venue, add-ons). That's it.
From your browser. Standard server logs (IP, user agent, referrer, timestamp) — used to keep the site working and to spot abuse. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
From shoots. Photographs and short video clips of the people, places, and things we're hired to shoot. If you're the client, that's the deliverable. If you're a subject of a shoot, we describe how we treat your likeness below.
WHY WE COLLECT IT.
- To reply to your inquiry and quote a shoot.
- To plan, scope, and deliver work you've hired us for.
- To keep the site running and free of bots.
- To occasionally show our work in our portfolio (with your consent — see below).
We don't use your info for advertising. We don't sell, rent, or trade it. Full stop.
WHO TOUCHES YOUR DATA.
A small set of services we trust to do their jobs:
- Vercel — hosts the website and runs server logs.
- Resend — delivers the inquiry email from the form to our inbox.
- Google Workspace — stores our actual email correspondence with you once we've replied.
- Sanity — stores the photos and copy that power this site.
Each of those companies has their own privacy policy. We don't hand your information to anyone else unless the law requires it (subpoena, court order) or you ask us to (e.g., a shared photo gallery link).
PHOTOS OF PEOPLE.
If you're a paying client, you own the agreed-upon usage rights to the work we deliver — the contract covers the specifics. We retain the underlying files and the right to show our work in our portfolio unless you tell us otherwise in writing.
If you're a subject in a public-facing shoot (concert, event, sporting venue) and you'd prefer we not display your image, send a takedown request through the inquiry form and tell us which photo. We'll take it down. We'd rather lose a photo than make someone uncomfortable.
COOKIES.
This site uses a small number of strictly-functional cookies (e.g., to remember your inquiry-form draft so you don't lose progress on refresh). We don't set marketing or cross-site tracking cookies.
YOUR RIGHTS.
You can ask us, at any time, to:
- Tell you what information we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete it (subject to any legal/contractual records we have to keep).
- Stop emailing you.
- Take down a public photo where you're the subject.
Send the request through the inquiry form. We aim to reply within a few business days.
CHILDREN.
This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us inquiry data, message us through the inquiry form and we'll delete it.
CHANGES.
If we update this policy, we'll bump the date at the top. Material changes get called out plainly — no quiet rewrites buried under marketing copy.
CONTACT.
Questions, takedown requests, or anything else — send them through the inquiry form. We'd rather hear from you than not.
