HeckRaiser Productions is a portrait and editorial photography studio working with founders, executives, families-of-business, agencies, magazines, and individuals across Upstate NY and the Northeast. We make portraits and documentary frames of actual humans doing actual things — the founder at her workbench, the chef at the pass, the band in the green room, the carpenter at the saw, the kid at the diner counter.

The work spans business and executive portraits for press, websites, and annual reports, editorial documentary for magazine features and brand stories, day-in-the-life shoots for founders and operators telling the story behind the company, and candid portrait sessionsfor individuals who want a real photograph instead of a corporate headshot. Quiet direction, lots of listening, very little posing.

Based in Upstate NY and shooting regularly across the Capital Region, the Hudson Valley, the Adirondacks, and out into NYC, Boston, Burlington, Philly, and beyond. Most of the work happens on location — in shops, kitchens, studios, offices, on jobs, at the bar after — because that's where the photographs actually live. We'll work in a studio if the brief calls for it, but the best portraits we make tend to happen where the subject already spends their time.

Multi-day editorial assignments, out-of-state founder shoots, and tour-style coverage for documentary projects are quoted with travel built into the number.
